THE DROP TEST
The Method: Using the same test set-up as the U.S. military does for its equipment, each battery is attached to the radio and dropped four feet onto concrete. Each radio was dropped a total of 42 times (seven cycles of six drops).

A cycle consists of
1 drop on the front
1 drop on the back
1 drop on the left side
1 drop on the right side
1 drop on the top
1 drop on the bottom

The Inspection: Each battery is inspected and failed if they experienced the following problems:
Cracking or splitting open
Damage to the connection with the radio
Inability to charge
